Mt Cook Lily

Ranunculus lyallii is a native New Zealand species which occurs in the subalpine to alpine herb fields of the South Island and Stewart Island. It is not a lily, it is the world ۪s largest buttercup. The leaves are glossy green and the plant flowers white petals and numerous yellow stamens from late spring to early summer. Thrives in cooler weather.
