Karri is one of Australia's most important timber species. It has white to cream bark that turns brown as it matures and sheds in short ribbons. Karri wood is a beautiful mahogany colour which tends to darken with age. It has an interlocked grain. Karri is used extensively in the building industry for structural hardwood, flooring, furniture, cabinetry and plywood. Drought and frost tender.
