A fast growing attractive tree with white bark and silvery/blue foliage often used for floral arrangements. White flowers from August to September attractive to bees and birds. A v ery good shelterbelt tree on exposed sites as it retains lower branches and has a compact form. Tolerates wet and dry soils as well as boggy clay soils. Timber, coppicing and firewood.
