Basic Growing Instructions

1 - Fill a seed tray with seed raising mix (seed raising mix is sterile, do not use potting mix as it contains microbes)
2 - Dampen the soil
3 - Sprinkle the seed on top of the damp seed raising mix
4 - Sprinkle a very fine layer (1mm) of seed raising mix over the seed to keep in the moisture
Notes:
The seed needs light to germinate so do not fully cover in soil, half the seed still visible is fine
5 - Place the tray in a warm (18-22C is ideal), well ventilated place, in indirect sunlight
Notes:
Do not cover the tray, the humidity with cause fungi problems, natives need ventilation not humid glasshouse environments.
Keep away from direct sunlight especially through glass as this will burn the baby seedling as they emerge, once seedlings are 25mm tall they will tolerate hardening off by being exposed gradually to direct sunlight over a period of several weeks (Begin with with 1 hour a day building to full time by two weeks, though still not through glass which will burn them)
6 - Keep moist by bottom watering, ideally do not water from above as this will displace the seeds
7 - When the seedling reach 40-50mm tall transplant into containers with high quality potting mix to grow on to your desired planting size
8 - Enjoy your plants, thanks from the birds and happy growing!
